I love this about my profession: Having a chance to work, meet and associate with amazing people from the world of wines, help my guests discover some – for them unknown – great wines from my country.
My most important experience was: participating in the World Sommelier Championship in Mendoza, which made me realise that I am part of something really great.
This is how a winemaker can get on my wine list: By producing wines that show the typicity and terroir.
I would like to achieve this within five years: To improve my sommelier skills enough so that I can enter the finals of the world championship and win it.
I foresee these trends in the sommelier profession within the next few years: To discover new, less known and popular varieties, which are becoming more and more interesting for the consumers. In addition, wine will become more and more the drink of choice of the young generation.
